Cuban Passport extension is no longer required for Cuban Citizens as of July 01, 2023
The Cuban Immigration Authorities have implemented new measures related to the Cuban passport:
Effective July 01, 2023, all Cuban citizens will be able to travel to Cuba with their valid Cuban passport and will no longer be required to extend their passport. This measure will also apply to those who should have extended their passport, but did not do so within the established term.
Cuba entry requirements as of January 1, 2023
As of January 1st, 2023, paper copies of the following documents are no longer provided on board the aircraft:

- International Boarding and Disembarkation Card
- Customs Declaration Form
- Traveller’s Health Affidavit
All travellers must provide their information online within 6 days before departing for Cuba. Once submitted, you will receive a QR code by email. This QR code will be your electronic visa (ETA). You must show an electronic or printed version of the QR code to airline check-in agents at the airport, and to authorities upon arrival. Failure to do so may result in denied boarding or refusal of admission into Cuba.

ELECTRONIC VISA:
Cuba requires an electronic visa (ETA) for travelers. This electronic visa replaces the traditional tourist card.
How to get an ETA (Electronic Visa)
- By completing the D’Viajeros Advance Information of Travelers Form online
- You must select “Tourism” as the travel reason
- You must show an electronic or printed version of the QR
